Home care through PEAK

In Home Aides (IHA)

Home health aides duties include providing routine personal care and basic health care for convalescent and/or disabled persons in the home of the patients. They are able to assist clients with bathing, dressing, and brushing teeth. Duties may also include changing linens and assisting clients with getting around. Clients may range from the elderly, disabled, long-term ill, to children with special needs.

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)

CNAs are certified nursing assistants that have specific duties and must pass state licensing tests before interacting with health care patients. They assist clients with personal and basic health care needs as well as change linens and aid in mobility.

Registered Nurse (RN)

Registered nurses work to promote good health and prevent illness. Patients are educated about their various medical conditions, treated and rehabilitated, and provided advice and emotional support for patients and their families by nurses. They administer medications under the supervision of doctors and keep records of symptoms and progress. Their supervision of licensed practical nurses (LPNs), nursing aides, CNAs, and IHAs are also duties registered nurses may provide to insure the well-being of patients.
